Who We Are

Paul & Sharyn Branson

Founders

Paul grew up in Victoria, BC, Canada, and Sharyn grew up in Ft. McMurray, AB, Canada, later moving to Victoria with her family. Paul was 15 when he accepted Jesus into his heart; Sharyn was 16 when she came to know the Lord through the youth ministry at Saanichton Bible Fellowship. After graduating high school, Sharyn put herself through university while Paul worked with his Dad in the construction field. In May 1991, Paul and Sharyn married in Victoria. In 1995, they started their mission training with a Discipleship Training School onboard the M/V Anastasis with Mercy Ships. In June 1997, Paul and Sharyn moved from Canada to the Dominican Republic to work the poor through evangelism, construction, school sponsorship, hosting mission teams, and medical ministry.

On December 24, 2001, their son, Noah, came home and on December 24, 2004, their daughter, Samantha, came home.

Paul directs all of the construction, Biblical teaching, and evangelism departments of the ministry. Sharyn directs the medical clinic, the sponsorship program, accounting, correspondence and communication.

Together, they lead various short term mission teams on the ground in the DR.

Wendy takes the time to get to know her patients, find out exactly what the problem is and treat each patient as best she can with thee resources that she has. She also ask about the spiritual needs of our patients – she never hesitates to take the extra time needed to talk with a patient, give some spiritual counsel and pray for and with our patients. Some patients return just for prayer, even after the medical need has been cured. Wendy and Pablo have three boys: Josue, Emanuel and Eliam.
